Read & Rec
For children ages 9- 11 years old. This program is a book club with sport activities, which meets weekly at different parks located in Geneva. Each week as a group we read a few pages from the selected book for about 20-30 minutes, and each child has an opportunity to read a passage aloud. The selected book for this summer is Alien In My Pocket: Blast Off by Nate Ball. After reading, the Rec. Department staff provides sporting equipment for children to learn and play a game. Each week will be a different sport! If inclement weather the program will be held at the Geneva Recreation Complex located 666 South Exchange Street. Check out the location schedule and sign up for each event through our online calendar.
