Teen Summer Reading Programs 2018
Help us rock out this summer with summer reading! There's a whole bunch of programs for teens lined up for this summer, including cooking lessons, arts and crafts, and of course the annual Ghost Hunt! Check out the list below for dates, times, and links to register.
Kickoff to Summer Fun
Help the Library kickoff a summer of reading, music, entertaining programs, and community! The festivities start at 3 PM on Friday, July 6th and will include an ice cream social on the Library’s terrace, face painting, and scavenger hunts throughout the building for every age group. Attendees receive three chances to “Soak the Staff” by completing the scavenger hunt or making a small donation to the Foundation for the Geneva Public Library. More adventurous guests can volunteer to get soaked themselves!
The Kickoff to Summer Fun is brought to you by Wegman's, and the Foundation for Geneva Public Library.
Teen Painting Class
Tina Yanotti from the Art Farm has developed a special music painting template for us to paint. Join us on July 10th at 3 PM as we learn the basics of painting and create a painting to take home. Registration is required as space is limited.
Join us for a fun evening of Family Feud at the library on July 11th at 5 PM, where two teams face off to name the most popular responses to survey questions. Every player wins and the winning teams play Fast Money for special prizes. Bring your family or friends (limit of 6 people per team) and play as a team or come as an individual or smaller group and be placed on a team. No registration required.
Teen Ghost Hunt
Teens will be joined by the Volunteers from Ghost SOS as we explore the library after hours on July 12th at 7 PM to discover any orbs and spirits within the library. Registration is required as space is limited.
Children's Free Lunch
Children 17 and under can eat for free at the Library during the summer. Monday through Friday, 12-1 PM.
Enjoy some time with friends while playing XBOX games on Mondays when in session in the Story Room. No registration is required and is open to youth 11-17 years.
July 9th - August 6th.
