Ongoing Volunteer Projects
Adopt-a-Shelf: Very flexible, year-round task that always needs doing. Sign up at the First Floor to become responsible for the upkeep of one side of a bookcase anywhere in the library. This upkeep includes shelf-reading (checking that each item is in the correct order), straightening/shifting the items so they are easily accessible, and wiping down the shelves and materials of your bookcase. Work on it whenever you are available: once a week or every two weeks, just 15 minutes to an hour, depending on your schedule. |
Upcoming Projects:
Our librarians can always use an extra pair of hands with projects as the library grows. Please fill out the form below and we will contact you with what's available as soon as possible. |
Volunteer Appreciation Social
Volunteers are the undeclared support of every library. Since 2013, Geneva Public Library has hosted an Annual Volunteer Appreciation Social event, allowing our library staff the chance to show their gratitude for all volunteers do to keep the library running. In 2015, Geneva Reads, who had also been hosting Volunteer of the Year events, and the Geneva Library decided to team up to co-host one spectacular occasion each year during National Volunteer Week. Check out what a wonderful time everyone had this past April 2019! |
