Fall Book Sale 2019
The Foundation for Geneva Public Library wrapped a successful book sale last month!
The Foundation raised close to $5,000 through the sale thanks to the Herculean efforts of many volunteers, as well as everyone that donated books and other items for the sale. The proceeds will be used in support of ongoing library services, the purchase of materials, capital improvement projects, and other initiatives. Each two-week book sale marks the culmination of hundreds of hours of volunteer work sorting, boxing, and transporting books. Please join us in thanking the numerous volunteers that picked up, sorted, and moved donated items, staffed the sale, and helped to promote the event. Although everyone that supported the sale is worthy of praise, the members of the Foundation’s Book Sale Committee deserve added thanks for their tireless year-round effort. At the conclusion of the sale, books were moved to the Foundation’s Balcony Bookstore, located on the Library’s second floor. Those items, along with any new donations that come in, are available for sale during open building hours.
