Library Honors Volunteers
|
On April 26th, the Library and Geneva Reads held a Volunteer Appreciation Party to honor the many individuals who donated their time and resources in support of the mission of each organization. On hand were volunteers responsible for organizing bookshelves, preparing tax returns for patrons, preparing book sales, and many other essential services the Library provides. Library Director Chris Finger said of the Library’s dozens of volunteers, “The Library’s success and impactful role in the community is not possible without them.”
As part of the ceremony, the Library named the three 2019 Volunteers of the Year. If you are interested in volunteering at the library, there are volunteer opportunities year round at the library, from the Adopt-a-Shelf program to assisting with special events and projects.
